Sanremo is a border city. Not only for its proximity to France but because it rises in an area where a splendid sea coexists with a hinterland, enclosed between Valle Nervia and Valle Argentina, full of charm, history and legends. Within a few miles where you can go independently or accompanied by our partners, you will find spectacular places and the unique flavors of an incomparable food and wine tradition. Below we mention just a few destinations but the Villa Levi staff will be able to direct you to discover all the experiences available for you.
- Dolceacqua: "A superb place, a bridge that is a jewel of lightness". This is how Claude Monet described this village in 1883, which has remained intact today as it was then. A must-visit if you want to share the same ecstatic experience with the French painter.
- Rocchetta Nervina: A medieval village set in a marvellous natural setting. Behind the houses begins a series of waterfalls and lakes whose crystal-clear waters will take you to the canyon of the Barbaria stream, where sportsmen from all over the world meet to practice canyoning.
- Triora: you probably don't believe in witches but in Triora, in 1500, they thought differently. It was called "The Village of the Witches" and it was the scene of a tragic trial in which some local women were accused of witchcraft and convicted. In 2016, the ethnographic museum dedicated to those events opened in Triora. A mysterious and legendary place through which you can read one of the darkest eras in our history.
- Côte d'Azur: fifty minutes from Villa Levi you can immerse yourself in the fairy tale of the Principality of Monaco. Its luxury and the charm of Monte Carlo will accompany you on an unforgettable day. Just beyond it you can walk on the Promenade des Anglais in Nice and, going a little further, waiting for you, you will find the beauty of "La Croisette", Cannes.
